At the moment, I work as a social worker, where I use my skills to guide and mentor children of various ages. I am in the process of becoming a teacher in Spanish and in English as a second language. I have worked and volunteered in Colombia and Mexico, which I look at as a rewarding and valuable experience.I love having the opportunity to interact with people from Spanish speaking communities, where I can engage with them in their native language. I have been studying Spanish since I was in grade school, but it was not until I lived overseas that my language skills truly began to flourish.As someone who has learned Spanish as a second language, I know the struggles and difficulties English speakers can face. I hope to pass my Spanish skills down to a new range of students. I am able to tutor a range of areas, such as speaking, pronunciation, and vocabulary building. Furthermore, I am also able to provide insight into various cultures in South and Central America.For me, being able to speak a different language helps one bridge the cultural gap between people from different backgrounds. Along with Spanish, my other hobbies include traveling, dancing, and eating new foods.
